Inaugural Tickets In Limbo
That's the conundrum for Inaugural officials, who aren't quite sure if there will be someone officially replacing Barack Obama in his Senate seat from Illinois.
And who knows what's going to happen with the Senate seat from Minnesota, where a recount between Sen. Norm Coleman and Democrat Al Franken is sure to run into the New Year, and maybe past the first day of the new Congress on January 6.
House members get about 200 tickets for the Inaugural. Senators get about twice that amount.
So, close to 800 tickets for two Senators are in limbo - which is a lot when you think about that they probably aren't in the cheap seats a few blocks from the Capitol.
What others are saying
- Inaugural TicketsJamie,
Is there any truth to the story that Blago will sell the tickets to the highest contributor to his fraud/corruption defense fund? Oops, didn't mean to start a nasty rumor - Tickets will be given out. They will be given to that state's Democratic party to dole out.
- Inaugural Tickets In LimboWho cares.
