If you want to look at it yourself, follow these links:
As you will see, it is not a small document, one reason it was broken into four different parts for your downloading enjoyment.

What others are saying
- The Democrat Payback billThis bill was nothing more than payback for the Obama voters. This type of boondoggle didn't work with Hoover and FDR nor will it work now. The Government does not the money for this so they will borrow or print leaving future generations to pay for it. However, I can and will do like Jim Rogers of the "Hot Commodities" and "A Bull in China " books and divest myself of my US holdings and put them in another country's economy. I will follow Neal Boortz's advice and move to a country that has a freer economy as the US is on the slow road to a Socialist death.
- What nextI would like to know what the government plans to do with the enlarged construction industry, which is mostly migrant (illegal alien) workers, when the Stimulus Bill money runs out. All of the shovel ready projects will cause a boom in the construction industry with a resulting crash at the end. Of course what do you expect the government is giving one of our most inefficient industries a good portion of the bill?
I do not see how grants, even if needed, will help stimulate or economy. Probably about as much as giving money to help stimulate nonprofit jobs for the arts. I it is my opinion that a tax holiday with an allowance of half of the stimulus bill would have a much larger effect since some of our less efficient companies are now going out of business. It is a shame that companies are going under but it paves the way for other companies that hopefully will be managed better. NOT CONTROLED BY THE GOVERNEMENT! - Why isn't this on the front page?Every newspaper should have the breakdown of the stimulus package on their front page and every tv news station needs to let the taxpayers know the details in this "stimulus" package. Thank you so much for breaking it down for us, Jamie!
- Rise upThere is a way to rise up and it is growing in every corner of the country. The way we change things is to "redistribute" the power. The FairTax does that and more, while stimulating the economy with real jobs, real take home pay and real transparency. It ends lobbying as we know it, the stranglehold on congress. It's HR-25 (as opposed to the stimulus HR-1, for the number of jobs it created- Obama's). And we all need to register our support at FairTax.org . Like Michael Steele has said, either get on board or get run over. The FairTax train is coming.
- PorkulousSoooo much welfare in this bill it's rediculous!!! 66% of Federal Government's Budget is for entitlements!!! Where is it now!!!! Unbelieveable!!! Rise up people!!!!
- W not to blame...As a matter of fact, he and the Republican Congressmen/Senators have a lot to brag about. Economy was doing extremely well (DOW grew to record 10K+) until Dems took back control in 06. GDP grew by nearly 5 trillion dollars from 2001-2008, & that's even with fighting GWOT (won't see anything about that on the liberal news). Obama didn't inherit a trillion dollar debt--he and the rest of the Dems voted for it! There's no emergency except with Obama's need to overthrow the Constitution. This spending bill is nothing more than Dems throwing money at all their pet projects and Obama paying off all his cronies. Quick=stupid! Emergency=no transparency! Spending bill=socialism & Marxism! Passed bill=socialized medicine! Signed bill=loss of liberty! Obama=wannabe dictator!
It is the poor who habitually elect Democrats...yet they are still poor!
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves. Abraham Lincoln - Science and TechnologyRead the report, that includes supercomputing research, and I likely to have SBIRs. If you have a creative mind, this is the time to create new things and businesses that will revitalize our economy
- StripulusTo call this pork is an insult to pigs.
They want this "bill" to pass in a couple days, but it takes a year to get property taxes lowered after a down market!! 11.5 billion for Loan guarantee program and Federal building fund? Homelessness prevention? What waste! This new bunch doesn't know what they are doing; but never mind - we have the "messiah"!
The next thing they will try to confiscate our IRAs and 401K savings, as they did in Argentina years ago. Wake up folks; European socialism is coming! - StimulusWhat is 1.6 Billion for 'Science"??? The people that trade goods and services are the people who drive our economy. Out of all of this massive spending, what do we get? $13 a week from June until the end of the year and then it is $8 a week. All those Obamabots who are expecting a free home or for Obama to pay their mortgage and buy their gas are going to be very disappointed. I think this massive spending of other peoples money will just prolong the recession.
- The last stimulusIt isn't just right wingers upset about this bill. I agree that W as you left wingers like to call him is culpable in all this spending mess. However. one of the authors of the previous "bailout" was Tim Geithner, none other than our current treasury secretary and resident tax cheat. The spending in both bills makes those of us in the "center" sick to our stomach. Infrastructure my @#$$$$$!!
- This bill is only good if you're a government employee, or one of the millions of voters who depend on having their parole officers or mental health workers to hold their hands.
They are fine with this. They are terrified that they would have to make their own decisions and suffer the consequences of them.
A great many of them are very happy about the repeal of Welfare Reform. They were getting tired of having to pretend to work in order to get their checks. Now they can go back to watching Jerry Springer and Oprah without worrying about where their next six-pack or hit of meth is going to come from. - SadIt is awful, that the people who are elected to represent us, pull the carpet out from under our feet. It is obvious, that, they dO not consider business, employers and employees as the driving force of the economy. Government spending and intrusion, will continue to stifle people who aspire to achieve.
- Beats the lasts admins stimulus billNever heard of this guy, obviously y'all a bunch of right wingers...W spent far more then this bill and has nothing to show for it except a bunch of corporate executives getting richer, higher unemployment, worse medical care, schools....so now we need to spend money on out infrastructure, education, and health care...and just buy spending that money we will create jobs as we need to hire people to carry out the tasks for each of the items above.
- what rocks did you people crawl out from under?
- States RightsHmmm. I'm just wondering how this little section of HR1 could possible jive with Amendment 10 of the US Constitution? I'm pretty sure it DOESN'T!
HR1 âAmerican Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009â
SEC. 1607. (a) CERTIFICATION BY GOVERNOR â Not later than 45 days after the date of enactment of this Act, for funds provided to any State or agency thereof, the Governor of the State shall certify that: 1) the State request and use funds provided by this Act , and; 2) funds be used to create jobs and promote economic growth.
(b) ACCEPTANCE BY STATE LEGISLATURE â If funds provided to any State in any division of this Act are not accepted for use by the Governor, then acceptance by the State legislature, by means of the adoption of a concurrent resolution, shall be sufficient to provide funding to such State.
The United States Constitution, Amendment 10
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." - Amtrak$1.3 billion for Amtrak? Why do we keep funding this fossil? It hasn't turned a profit in over 40 years. I can't wait for the 2010 elections !!!!
Thanks Jamie for keeping up informed. - Bless you Jamie.
- stumblelus BillThanks Jamie for the hard work; however, it is a sad indictment of our system to elect our president and congress. We need to go back to history and have tea party and throw everyone out with the bath water including the great one himself. Sad, Sad, and criminal.
- What are they thinking? The 'so called' representatives of the people are 'out to lunch'. How can any of these elected representatives sleep at night with this pile of garbage. They are so out of touch and all we can do is wait for the next election and hope we can purge this group of losers out of congress but it'll be too late to undo the damage.
- Thank youThey also took out E-Verify, which means any jobs that may be created could go to Illegal Aliens not American Workers. Everyone should read the Health Information Technology portion of this Bill. I don't want the government telling Doctors how to treat any illness.
- $100k for Jamie DupreeJamie, great job, I tried to find this paper for days and couldn't find the @#@$ paper. I would like to see where the money ends up and how the poiticians or their families are involved in some of these projects.
might be an interesting site and close the loop on corruption - Devil in the detailsI think this list should be e-mailed to every "taxpayer" in America. They should, in turn, forward it to their congressman and request that they explain the "stimulus" effect of each appropriation, line by line!
- How is this going to help Jow Average?Of each and every item, they should ask, how is this going to help John Doe in Podunk, MN or Podunk, GA? and if there is no answer, Vote NO.
- ThanksLook forward to your segment on Boortz daily. Thanks for laying this all out. $105 million for Puerto Rico highway programs? How does that help us?
- WowMaybe it would have been a shorter list to tell us what is in the bill that's actually there to help the tax payers. Thanks for laying it out for us!
- Stimulus Disection AppreciationJamie - I constantly listen to Neal & look forward to the times he speaks with you to get a pulse reading on Washington politics. I am sure you are high on the list of Obama's favorite people (hahahaha). Anyway, you certainly have my respect for your commitment to covering the snakes in Washington.
- Thanks for taking the time to go through this thing. As I expected there is very little in actual stimulus and a lot of pet projects that might have some value, but not in a bill that is supposed to "jump start" the economy.
- Thanks - and OMG!Thanks JD for always doing the hard breakdown work for us "regular" folks who want to know what these things actually say but don't have the secret decoder ring.
I am really excited about our $800. I think Neal said that is about $13 a week. That sure beats the "tax holiday" idea. With that I could have had repairs made to my house and car. That would have only given a job to someone and income. $13 will definitely give us the power to light
a fire to the economy! However, metaphorically it will take two sticks and a hundred years to get a spark.
Let's save the taxpayers some money and seat a bunch of monkeys. At least they would do something constructive - like fight over bananas. - ThanksThanks for taking the time to go over the bill, and posting it here!
- The next 170 pagesJamie,
Beautiful work. What is in the part of the bill you didn't get to, and where can we actually find it online, to read, ourselves. Thanks!
