A huge lobbying push netted Democrats a giant victory in the House on global warming legislation, as the House approved a cap and trade by 219-212.

In the end, the margin was provided by eight Republicans who broke ranks and voted for the bill.

They were Bono Mack (CA), Castle (DE), Kirk (IL), Lance (NJ), LoBiondo (NJ), McHugh (NY), Reichert (WA) and Smith (NJ.)

Here is the full breakdown of the vote:

What others are saying

  • Thank you
Thank you Jamie for posting this. Trying to find it on the gov website was ridiculous! Why don't they have a "D" or "R" next to thir name? Don't tell me they are trying to hide something in this transparent administration.... Now we can actively campaign against the ones who voted for it.
  • Cap & Trade
It absolutely sickens me to think that we have 219 Congressman that want to ruin this country. Have they lost all sanity? My gosh....
