Bishop, Ga.---The Georgia Equestrian team took three of the four events to garner their fifth win of the season with a 14-6 decision over Fresno State.

The No. 3 Bulldogs took a commanding 4-1 lead in Equitation over Fences to start the day. Sophomore Emma Lipman turned in the highest score of the afternoon with a 91, which helped her gain MVP honors on the event. Grace Rogers (score of 82), Kacy Jenkins (83), and Michelle Morris (84) also contributed winning rides for the Bulldogs.

Georgia swept Equitation on the Flat 5-0. Carly Anthony took MVP honors with her score of 87. Morris (85), Rogers (85), Lipman (82), and Daisy Whelan (73) rounded out the impressive showing of riders for the event.

“We enjoyed the beautiful weather today and everyone performed well,” said Georgia head coach Meghan Boenig. “We had solid rides without mistakes on the English side and we are where we need to be. We are definitely looking forward to next week.”

On the Western side, Georgia tied Fresno State 5-5. Freshman Maria Salazar won MVP in Horsemanship with a score of 77.5. Carly Lambros (73.5) also posted a winning ride for the Bulldogs. Point winners in Reining were Kelly Truesdell (71.5), Diandra St. Hilaire (74), and Sarah Locker (73.5).

“We had a strong presence against a good team,” said Western assistant coach Jimmy Frebes. “This is a very solid group of girls and we have some rising stars in Horsemanship.”

Georgia returns to action on Friday, Nov. 13 at home against top-ranked Auburn.
