| Russell Crowe Is A New Dad Master And Commander star Russell Crowe is a new father. The Australian actor's wife, Danielle Spencer, gave birth to their first child Sunday (December 21st) night in Sydney. The six pound, two ounce tyke was named Charles Spencer Crowe, according to publicist Wendy Day, who also said that baby was healthy and, quote, "looking forward to Christmas." Crowe and Spencer, a singer, were married this past April on Crowe's sprawling Australian ranch. Crowe told E! earlier this year that they will probably have more than one child. Quote, "I don't think we were ever thinking about a gigantic amount of kids, but she's sort of thinking one or two, maybe three, we'll see." While he's not sure how many kids he'll end up having, one thing's for certain: Crowe will not be giving his new son any G.I. Joe dolls as presents. Crowe said he once received a redheaded version of the action figure for Christmas and ended up shaving its head: "For some reason my mummy got me the red-headed one. I didn't want a red-headed G.I. Joe 'cause in the cartoons and the comic books and stuff he's always got dark hair. So now I've got this redhead G.I. Joe? So I tried to shave his head and I got really bored with it after a while so he ended up just having a bald patch for years and years. I wonder where he is now? Probably running around doing some covert operation, you know?" from LAUNCH media More entertainment headlines | |
