55K Hit Peachtree for 40th Road Race

(WSB Radio) -- 55,000 runners and wheelchair racers made their way down Peachtree Street Saturday for the 2009 AJC Peachtree Road Race. Sammy Kitwara of Kenya won the race in his Peachtree debut. Top-seed Lineth Chepkurui won the women's race. Conditions were ideal with low humidity and temperatures in the low 70s.
