Internet Sales Manager Cox Radio Group – Atlanta Reference # 295376

Job Description and Qualifications: Cox Radio is seeking a creative individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to serve as Internet Sales Manager for Cox Radio Atlanta cluster. Internet Sales Manager will be responsible for coordinating interactive sales efforts with each radio station’s sales team, helping our account managers with creative integrated ideas and serving as the Internet strategist for them and our clients. This person will also be responsible for identifying and developing online business independent from our current efforts. Solid understanding of internet sales with related media sales and management experienced preferred. College degree.

Responsibilities:

• Setting and achieving sales goals/budgets for each individual station and cluster revenue.

• Working with the sales teams to develop internet sales ideas and strategies with Account Manager’s Target Accounts and Key Accounts.

• Develop internet revenue streams and coordinate sales efforts with Account Manager’s for large radio clients currently participating in internet advertising.

• Develop strategy and coordinate sales efforts for advertisers that are currently not clients of Cox Radio.

• S stream for the Cox Radio Atlanta cluster or tailored to each station format.

• Project accurate internet revenue forecast each month in tandem with the GSM for each individual station.

• Setting clear standards of performance for the sales teams in tandem with the GSM for each individual station.

• Tailoring your approach with each individual station format and Account Manager to develop powerful relationships internally.

• Attendance and active participation in station sales and promotions meetings.

• Consistently communicating to General Sales Manager, Local Sales Manager, Program Directors, Sales Managers and Marketing & Promotions Directors for each station on progress/happenings with internet revenue.

• Interacting with major decision makers at various local businesses and agencies that have a desire to reach our audience through an opportunity offered by the stations.

• The development and upkeep of research materials, case studies, sales tools and sales presentations for each station’s website.

• Website inventory management and pricing for each station’s website.

• Working together as a team with your counterparts to ensure that the Station/Cox Radio Atlanta is maximizing all advertising sales opportunities.

• Implementation of CSS customer focused sales.

• Ensuring the station’s NTR growth outpaces the market growth to increase each station’s NTR market revenue share.

• Serve as the cluster liaison to CXRI, the internet arm of Cox Radio Atlanta.

Responsibilities: Duties include newsgathering including, but not limited to conducting telephone interviews, digital audio editing, writing scripts, anchoring newscasts, producing news reports for broadcast, gathering traffic information, writing, producing and delivering traffic reports.

Qualifications: Experience with newsgathering, reporting, anchoring, audio editing, news/talk radio formats, and radio news experience required. Minimum of 5 years of commercial radio or television news required. Computer knowledge required.
