Royal's WebsiteRoyal Marshall is the "sidekick" and engineer for the Neal Boortz Show. Royal graduated from UGA in 1992 with a degree in speech communications. He got his start at News/Talk 750 WSB as a board operator working overnights. When Neal Boortz joined WSB in 1993, Royal joined the show as the engineer/board operator. Neal enjoyed the "cross talk" with Royal so much on air, he and Royal created "A Minute with Royal T" on the Neal Boortz Show. In 1996, "The Royal Treatment" debuted on WSB-AM, airing from 10pm till 1am on Saturday nights. A year later, the show moved to Sunday afternoon. From 1998 – 2000, "The Royal Treatment" aired on then sister station WCNN-AM, before moving back to News/Talk 750 WSB evenings from 9pm until 11pm. Marshall now devotes 100-percent of his time to his work on the nationally syndicated Neal Boortz Radio Show. Boortz broadcasts to an audience of some 4.5 million listeners daily. Royal is now spending many evenings working as a stand-up comic. You'll find him at the Punchline and other Atlanta comedy clubs. Royal is married and the proud father to Amira Wesley Marshall, born May 28th, 2006. |
