Meet Royal Marshall
Royal's radio career began in 1987 as an intern at an Atlanta radio station.Royal later went to the University of Georgia where he graduated with a degree in speech communications. He was hired by WSB to engineer the overnight shift, and then later promoted to daytime. Eventually, he became the engineer of the Neal Boortz Show. After being prodded by Neal, he opened the mic and started to talk on the Boortz Show. Neal then suggested to management that they should let Royal host the show when he was on vacation.
Well it worked, Royal took over the show for Neal one day and the phones went wild. Soon after that, WSB gave Royal his own weekend show (Actually, in the middle of night on the weekends). BUT wherever Royal went, the listeners followed. In October of 1998, Royal moved his talk show to afternoon drive (and then middays) at NewsRadio 680 WCNN. Then in January of 2000, Royal moved his talk show back to WSB and its current slot weeknights 9p-11p. Royal is also active in the church and the community. Royal also makes time to speak at numerous career days and social club gatherings. Check out Royal's new website.
Producer Rahul Bali joined the Royal Treatment in October of 1998, when the show moved to WCNN. He also produces Mike Kavanagh's Money Matters on Sunday Mornings on WSB.
