Several weeks ago, I was honored to sit for a couple of hours with Mike who treated me like I was a personal friend or relative and he wanted to make sure I was OK. I was even late for my appointment that day due to a "chicken truck" accident on 285. I was frantic as I thought that a man like that wouldn't wait for a country girl who was late for an appontment in the city. When I did arrive, he just laughed that beautiful laugh and helped me to feel completely at ease and confident in my future. The really beautiful thing that happened that day was that Mike told me that I needed to change locations of some of my funds; that I was too near to retirement to be in risky business. I did what he told me to do and the next day the stock market started its slide; I sit here today safe in a "fixed" account while others around me are suffering. All of that wonderful advice and not one penny did it cost me. I never met anyone I felt more comfortable around and I feel like I have lost a good friend. I will miss Sunday mornings; I often was a little late to Sunday School as I drove very, very slowly so that he could calm my every financial fear. I am in tears now as I have been most of this week. What a Loss!!! God bless his family.
