Mike, yes it is a wonderful day to be alive, but the days are much less wonderful now that you are not here to enjoy them with us.<br> Through tears of sadness come my tears of joy knowing I had the honor and pleasure of calling you my friend-even though in my, and especially in Pete's heart you felt like family. Our hearts ache for your wonderful family, especially for your lovely Grace and precious Kelsey...to see how your eyes would shine and sparkle when you spoke of them is a special memory.<br> You were a true gentleman, genuine, kind and true to all...your family, friends, colleagues, aquaintances. To all, the 2 legged and 4! <br> You recently told us that in 20yrs you wanted to be able to look back and say that we were able to do some good for our world, well Kavanagh, it seems like you were already able to make that thought come true. Please rest knowing that Pete & I will do our best to keep that thought ongoing. <br> You were our calm in the rough seas, and even today I asked "well, what would Mike say?"
