Neal, LET Jay Bookman assume right. IT SIMPLY DOESN'T MATTER. Right now 23% of my pay is gone before I receive my paycheck. To that, I have to add an additional 6% in sales tax when I make a purchases. So there ... that's the 29% Jay Bookman is referring to. ALL ELSE being equal, with the Fair Tax, I STILL get rid of the IRS requirements, don't have to pay any type of investment taxes, ALL consumers ( tourists, illegal immigrants, drug dealers, "the evil wealthy," day laboreres, etc ) would be paying the tax, thus, contributing to OUR system. So, in essence, I would not see a change, and I suspect I would most likely see an increase in the money I get to keep. NOT TO MENTION the provision for the monthly rebate.......<br> WHAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH THAT Jay ?????
