(From Gwinnett Daily Post)
LAWRENCEVILLE - A Gwinnett County firefighter was arrested for the second time in two weeks after allegedly assaulting a woman at his Callie Still Road home near midnight on Feb. 25.

According to warrants, Kenneth Lamar Dodson, 43, is charged with battery and pointing a pistol at another. Police said Dodson, a firefighter at Station No. 8 in Grayson, hit Kimberly Lynn Ringblom twice in the head, causing visible bodily harm. Dodson is also charged with pointing a semiautomatic pistol at Ringblom.

The relationship between the two is unclear but arrest warrants label the incident as one of "family violence."

Fire Department spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge confirmed Dodson is employed by the department but declined to discuss details of the case, calling it a "personal legal matter."

"The Department is aware of the alleged charges against ... Kenneth Dodson," Rutledge said. "We are confident that charges will be adjudicated through the judicial system."

Records show Dodson was arrested in 2008 on a charge of felony contempt of court after a Juvenile Court Judge found he owed more than $37,000 in child support and alimony payments to his ex-wife, Paige Lynn Dodson.

Kenneth Dodson was jailed again on Feb. 12 for failure to pay child support, records show. A $10,500 bond was set and Dodson was released the same day.

A voice mail left for Dodson was not immediately returned.

Jail records show Dodson is free on $4,800 surety bond

2008 felony arrest, Feb. 12th arrest again for failure to pay child support, misusing a firearm and now he's free again and still employed in Gwinnett public safety. IF he has a felony conviction and since he now is charged with domestic violence and "pointing a pistol at another" he is not eligible to currently possess firearms or ammunition and he should not be a county government safety employee unless he is cleared of all related charges. This “hothead” lives about a mile from me and I don’t want this reckless and hot-tempered individual running into me.
