Tappan Street Restaurant Group, which operates most of the Taco Mac restaurants in the metro Atlanta was very quick to ban firearms from its restaurants following the passage of the "gun rights bill" (HB89) into law in July 2008. I wonder if Tappan Street's president, Bob Campbell, will do the right thing for his employees and customers by rethinking this policy, now proven flawed by the courageous actions of one of his own managers. To do otherwise, and certainly to fire this brave woman for refusing to be a victim, will be yet another case of the emotions surrounding the "guns" issue overriding common sense and common decency.
