I murdered an ant today. Actually, several ants. Today I just stepped on them, but in the past I've definitely killed them in much more creative, gruesome ways.

Sound ridiculous? Of course, because no one cares about ants. People care about dogs because they're cute, they're domesticated, they're playful....but when it all comes down to it, they're still just animals.

What Vick did was illegal, and for that he deserved punishment. But anyone who actually thinks his acts are unforgivable is really, really overreacting. The victims were just dogs, and when it all comes down to it- dogs, though playful and cute, aren't on any higher level than any other animals.

It's my opinion that Vick has paid his debt to society, and then some. In an era where players get trouble almost every day for acts way worse than dogfighting, he will be branded unfairly as one of the bigger villains. I wish him all the best- maybe someday he can make it back onto the field.
