A lot of workers don't care enough to check with utilities. My neighbor was having a garage rebuilt, and the demolition team came a few days early to tear down the old one. Of course the neighbors weren't home at the time, and of course the electricity was still on. The workers happened to see me (the neighbor) outside and asked my permission to tear it down! I said NO I can't give you permission!!! So fortunately at that point they called the neighbors. The point is they were going to tear down the garage WITH the utilities still live.
