I am as much in favor of green energy as the next guy; in fact, some people would classify me as a "tree hugger." However, I can't believe how horrible this bill is. Most of it is impossible to understand, and the parts that are understandable are so outrageous that I can't believe it. What does Social Security and Medicare have to do with green energy???? And now, with a filibuster-proof Senate, I'm afraid there's no stopping it. <br> <br> So, about 50% of my retirement is gone because of the economy, my husband went a whole year without a paycheck (he's a small business lawyer)and we're having trouble paying the bills we have NOW, and I'll never be able to move out of this house because it is 25 years old and I'll never be able to afford all of the retrofitting this bill requires AND pay all the extra expenses I'll have to pay for because of the cap and trade tax. I'm just screwed. See you at the next tea party!
