Let me preface this- it is wrong to not maintain control of your animals and ensure that they are supervised and stay in a fenced in area, if for nothing else the safety of the animal.

However, what half-way sensible human being runs up on 4 or 5 unfamiliar dogs? Much less an intimidating looking breed like the boxer. Once we get past the fact that the dogs should not have been outside of their fence, doesn't some blame need to be placed on the moron that ran up on them rather than simply turning around on his jog? I don't know about you, and judging from some of the comments already posted- most of you probably don't share the same level of common sense, but I am not running up on a pack of 4 boxers that I don't know. At what point do we look at the human error of a situation (again, recognizing the first human error being the dogs let out of the fence), and realize that the guy probably got what he deserved if he's going to be ignorant enough to run past a pack of unfamiliar dogs.

Next time, rather than being a jackass- turn around when you see Killer, T-Vick, Shorty and Mack-Teeth staring you down from THEIR yard. (Oh, let's please not note in this story that the dogs were in their yard until chucklehead decided to run by)

If you have never owned a boxer, you have no place to comment on the breed. I have 2 and I'll never own a different breed again. I agree with the court's ruling, but I think that people need to get a grip on reality and realize that- of course this is a 'pack' situation. Dogs are 'pack' animals and will act as a pack. The court needs to split the pack up, not let the lady have dogs again and everyone else here move on.

The jogger didn't need stitches, and your comment about the doctor not wanting to give stitches is bogus. They make antibiotics for that purpose- go find a new doctor.

Hope everyone has a great day! - Boxers, attempting to rid the world of ignorance one jogger at a time.
