She is 17 and should know right from wrong. She stole from children, tramautizing them, I'm sure. She should be prosecuted as the criminal that she is. Maybe (I say "maybe") she will learn. The key here is that she stole, was caught and should be treated like the criminal she it. If she gets away with this crime, chances are she will do it again. What message is that to send to her and others who think it's OK to steal?
