The fearful crisis. The Republican bank party must be put down, this is a struggle to maintain government of for and by the people against the most heartless of all aristocracy, that of money. Big money power today lives with a wrong, profits from it, and actively protects it. The almighty right wing nut talk propaganda machine, on behalf of the rich ruling elite, has a degree of influence and power dangerous to the liberties of the people and fatal to the constitution of their choice. The PACs, the lobbyists in Washington, the special interest elite control the levers of power and airwaves to favor the wealth class, perverting the system into a permanent electioneering engine.<br> <br> The issue is whether the people are to govern with the vast approval for health care reform including single payer, or whether the money and power of the great influence peddlers and giant insurance and drug corporations are to exert to influence over the peoples judgment and control their decisions. Are we to bow to the golden calf and be obedient and obsequious to the Wall Street Barons and uber capitalists and their mainstream media talk host apologists? <br> <br> The conservative parties of movers and shakers and wealthy connected influence peddlers own the RNC and talk show hosts, making an aristocratic institution more interested in self-perpetuation than the good of the country. They do not look after the little fellow who has no pull, the ordinary the unconnected. As Old Hickory, Andrew Jackson said “the mass of people have more to fear from combinations of wealthy and elite professional classes and lobbies, from an aristocracy which through the influence of riches and talents, insidiously employed effect sinister influences in the name of free markets and working people…”<br> <br> As the hero of the battle of New Orleans said: “It’s to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their selfish purposes against the aspiring masses. The goal of government should be to better the lives of the many, not reward the few.” It is one of the dangers of mammoth money power that control the talk waves of the media and the legal bribes in DC. As founding father President Jackson, a southerner argued, an end to privilege would mark the beginning of a truly democratic era in our republic. “Government should, as Heaven does its rains, shower its favors alike on the high and the low, the rich and the poor, it would be an unqualified blessing.”
