If the American people really want to know how government health care would work, perhaps they should ask some of the soldiers who fought for this county and were willing to die for it, how they have been treated at the VA Hospitals run by the gov't. Look at the Walter Reed fiasco a number of years back. The waiting period to get in to see a doctor can be anywhere from 2 weeks and more. Unless you are brought in by ambulance to emergency, you have to wait. And, once you have an appointment and get there, you still sit around anywhere from 2 hours to 6 after your appointment time. My brother has cancer, is weak, and has to go for chemotherapy. He has to wait 2 to 3 days before he can get an appointment to see a VA doctor, and why? Because he is not ambulatory. My fiance was in a VA hospital years ago, dying, and his last words regarding treatment was "Nobody gives a sh*t." How true today - and this is government health care. The American people have no idea what they are in for as the government can't even take care of our soldiers decently. Why don't you, Neal, ask some VA's to call and give you some of their horror stories, delays, waiting times, and treatment they've gotten at VA Hospitals. It's time another GOOD investigative reporter did an expose again on how the government runs their health care for our soldiers. And, P.S., I'm not saying the doctors are bad, it's the government and all the hoops these doctors have to jump through to take care of our fighting boys.
