Neal, you and Herman Cain ( and your likes) completely miss the point on this health care reform.Before you go off on me, I have health care coverage from a good employer. But it is sad that anyone will argue that we need to reform this sector of the economy. Like someone said, healthcare cost largely contributed to the fall of GM.America is becoming uncompetitive when it comes to cost of production because of the stupid manner in which healthcare cost is priced. We have a near-monopoly situation where we are all charged the same price by all providers and the price goes up everytime, regardless of everything else.Heck, we dont even know the price we pay.All I know is that every year,during benefit enrollment, my premium is going up and my copay also goes up.<br> And please dont give me the hogwash that Republicans have a plan. What have they done in 8 years in office. It is only a mean country that will take the area where people are most vulnerable and turn it into a multi-million dollar business having poor people chose between putting food on the table and paying exorbitant medical bills. There is obviously something wrong where the pay in this sector is completely out of whack with the rest of the economy.Take the technician that takes a 3-month medical training class and immediately commands over $3000 per month. Where else does this happen. And this it true all the way up to the Doctors. Dont get me wrong, I love my Doctor and I think they are doing a great job, but common, give us a break.How about we start with a patient bill of rights that demamd that Doctors post their billing schedule on the wall in their offices. We need to break this black market and put some sanity into the system.
