As a former Bay Area resident, I'm a life-long A's fan that lost one of my all time favorite broadcasters in Bill King three years ago. As Bill King was the voice of my childhood with his A's, Raiders, and Warriors broadcasts, so Skip Caray was as the Braves and the Hawks to many fans in the Deep South. Both men had a unique style all their own, and both are truly legends of the game. <br> <br> I truly sympathize with Braves fans who mourn the voice of the South, and honor their wish to pay tribute to Skip. <br> <br> Retiring #17 in the memory of Skip Caray would be fantastic idea, not just to honor him, but to also preserve his place in baseball lore for years to come.
