I have been working in CC for over two years now. I have coworkers who grew up here, and they describe the area as a place that was "once a great place to live". It obviously is no longer such.

The mindset of the urban Black community is to blame for this situation. T-shirts proudly proclaiming "we took Clayton" are a fine example of this line of thinking. Yes, you certainly did overtake Clayton...and how has the area been improved by this accomplishment?

Higher crime rates, lower property values, deteriorating school systems, increased gang activity and drug use...these are the hallmarks of a region which has been overtaken by the Black community. When your children idolize thugs, pimps, drug dealers, and murderers...when they are taught they do not have to conform to civilized standards of behavior...when they have been led to believe the government and society at large owes them something because of the color of their skin...when it becomes acceptable to play the 'race card' whenever you are asked to be accountable for your actions...these are the things that erode the Black community, and cause the end result we are seeing now in Clayton.

Are all Blacks this way? Absolutely not. I know and have worked with many fine people who I respect and trust, and they are Black. They are also hard working, honest people who believe it is their own responsibility to provide for the well being of their family. It's simply too bad they aren't the majority in their own racial demographic.
