Fast Track Deportation in Gwinnett

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) Federal immigration agents are scheduled to screen all foreign nationals in the Gwinnett County Jail to identify illegal immigrants for deportation.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement plans to send members of its Criminal Alien Program enforcement team to the jail for 26 days starting Jan. 12. They are scheduled to work shifts from 6 a.m. to midnight with 15 employees working per shift.

The ICE team plans to screen all foreign inmates booked into the jail and remove illegal immigrants to begin deportation proceedings.

Gwinnett County Sheriff Butch Conway has applied to have ICE train some of his deputies so they can screen for illegal immigrants and turn them over to ICE.

    Everybody I know wishes that ICE would come do their magic in our neighborhoods,...not just our prisons.
    I would gladly set up offices in my basement for them to use to send these worthless parasites back to that filthy country called mexico.

    I agree, this is a national problem not just in Ga. It should be a high priority to remove law breakers from our country. In the 1940's look how fast the FED rounded up all the Japanese. The drug War is Just that (A War)and should be delt with as such. And we know where most of it comes from!
