(WSB Radio) -- Major problems this afternoon for a drug dealer in Henry County.

Because it absolutely had to be there overnight, the shipper in Phoenix, Arizona used Fed Ex.  However neither shipper in Arizona, nor the intended recipient expected narcotics agents working with the Flint Circuit Drug Task Force to intercept the package.

Narcotics agents, working with Fed Ex Security, intercepted three boxes of marijuana at Fed Ex Ground in Ellenwood.  The pot weighed 141 pounds and carried a street value of approximately $632,000.

There's no word on arrests yet in this case.

What others are saying

  • you don't realize it's just.. easy.
you have friends across the country that can get grass cheaper then you, you send them some money in the mail and they ship it back to you overnight with fedex.
no, they don't do it because it needs to be there overnight, they do it overnight because there's less chance for it to be found by k9u.
both society and the government doesn't realize how seriously corrupt america is, there's dope everywhere.. open your eyes.
  • Hmmmm.
Drug dealers, for years, have found shipping services such as FedEx to be a viable option for transporting illeagal substances all around the world. It happens everyday and there is literally no way intercept every package that contains these illegal substances. I've not read any solid statistics, but I'd be willing to bet top dollar that there is at least an ounce of any drug that you can think of, in every major shipping station of every major shipping company, all around the world.

This is just another classic example of how arduous the task of putting a stop to the transport of these illegal drugs will be.
  • It'll never be legal because the gov can't tax it easily. Its only about money.
  • MOST WOULD IMPLY A MAJORITY OF COUNTRIES HAVE LEGALIZED IT. THAT IS FAR FROM THE REALITY. IF ONLY POLITICIANS UNDERSTOOD HOW MUCH TAX THEY COULD MAKE FROM LEGALIZED MARIJUANA!
  • Does pot kill brian cells? In this case yes. This moron thought he could send 141 pounds of it through Fed Ex? Come on.
  • marijuana
The southern christian right would rather it be illegal. Bigots prosper down here always have always will.Watch the church groups they are full of this type
  • agreed
I agree. The times they are a changin, and one day when all the older people who oppose pass on, the younger more open minded individuals who come after will realize the comedy of errors that make it illegal to put whatever you like into your body. Mind your own business, puritans!
  • It wouldn't be an issue if we'd legalize it. Most countries realize after losing a 30 year old war it's time to surrender. The US isn't most countries though, is it?
