(WSB Radio)  Trial is scheduled to begin today in Gwinnett County for a Norcross man charged with killing his girlfriend with an ax.

The incident last February led to a 12 hour standoff with police at the victim's home on Edgemoor Drive.

34 year old Shannon Marlow was later found hiding in the attic.

He's charged with murder, aggravated assault and theft, the last charge coming because he had allegedly stolen Patricia Rabold's car.

What others are saying

  • This Article and Shannon Marlow
While doing some research on Shannon Marlow's trial, I came across this article: love the title! "Ax Murder Scheduled to Begin"

So... where does one sign up for the ax murder schedule-sheet? I have a couple of folks I've considered "axing" and now that they are scheduling them, I'd like to sign up!

By the way, Marlow is now serving his life sentence down in south Georgia and since he is a repeat offender, will very likely never, EVER be released.

    I think that's a good thing, don't you?
  • Well what happend? did they thro away the key on that piece of garbage? they should lock his mom and brother up too drugged out freaks
  • guy was a loser!
  • Axe killing murder
The trial is almost over. tomorrow is closing arguments, jury deliberations, then hopefully a sentence.
  • I guess that makes it organized crime.
  • What Time?
What time today will the ax murders begin?
  • Worst Journalism on the Internet
    "Ax Murder Scheduled to Begin"

That was the headline for this story, and I was really curious: when did people start announcing a schedule for ax murders?

Of course, it turns out that the trial of an ax murder is scheduled to begin.

WSB's news stories are without a doubt the worst-written on the www. Do you hire actual journalists? Your writing is the equivalent of Atlanta traffic engineering, i.e., a joke; proving once again that Atlanta is nothing but an overgrown truck-stop with attitude.
