I-285 Wreck, Drag Racing?
(WSB Radio) -- DeKalb police are looking for the driver of a car that may have been drag racing along I-285 and caused a deadly wreck Tuesday night.
Two people were killed and two others critically hurt in the wreck in the northbound lanes between the Lawrenceville Highway and LaVista Road exits.
Investigators tell WSB that the driver of a Corvette lost control of the vehicle, hitting a guard rail and an SUV.
Two passengers inside the Corvette were killed in the accident while two people inside the SUV were hurt.
Police are looking for the driver of the Mustang, who left the scene of the accident, according to investigators.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. and closed three lanes until about 11 p.m.

- These teenagers were friends of mineIf you didnt know these kids, dont say anything bad about them. You do not know the story. They weren't out just racing. They were coming home to their families. The girl was a friend of mine and her family does not need people being crual and rude about this tragic loss. Everyone has done a stupid thing or two in their lives. No, they should not have been racing, but the driver of the mustang should not have been either. They were both good people and i know that they are in a better place. Please have respect, if not for them, for their families who have to go through their lives with out them. They will be forever in our hearts. We all love them and will never forget this.

- Drag Racing vs Illegal Street RacingI learned from Evo Street Racers that drag racing is NOT illegal street racing and after doing the research I agree. Drag Racing is a sport whereas illegal street racing is a problem. Too many people are getting hurt and dying and it is for this reason why my friends and I have joined Evo Street Racers to say enough is enough; we need change and they have proven to be the force capable behind making the change. - Legal drag racingJohnny Nam -- there is such a place. Atlanta Motor Speedway has drag racing Friday nights. So does Commerce.

- Drag racingThere should be a place made where these "wannabe" drag racers can take their cars to race for a small fee on Friday and Saturday nights. Yellow River Drag strip, years and years ago was such a place. We need to bring that back, great entertainment and bragging rights.
