(WSB Radio)  The family of a two year old murder victim have picketed the funeral of the killer.

Lanny Barnes died at the Augusta State Prison last week of leukemia.  He had been diagnosed with the disease right after he was arrested for killing two year old Avery King.

King and her family were run down in the parking lot of a McDonald's in Covington in 2006.

Barnes never explained why he ran over the family.

At Barnes' funeral on Thursday, both Avery's mother and aunt participated in the protest, carrying signs that read, "The World is a Better Place."
