(WSB Radio)  Gwinnett County Police are looking for a man who is believed to be responsible for a string of robberies at several Payless Shoe stores.

Corporal David Schiralli tells WSB the first robbery happened on March 16th at the store on Satellite Boulevard.

"The suspect entered the Payless Shoe Source, pretending to purchase a pair of tennis shoes.  When the clerk opened the cash register drawer, the suspect brandished a knife and demanded money," said Schiralli. 

He headed towards Pleasant Hill Road where another robbery at a store in Lilburn occurred a short time later.

"And then on June 19th, the suspect entered the same store on Satellite.  After trying on a pair of shoes, walked over to the counter and brandished a knife to the clerk and demanded money once again," said Schiralli.

Schiralli says they want to catch him before he strikes again.

"That's our concern.  We would hope like to apprehend this person before he actually hurts somebody," said Schiralli.
