Tennessee DA Drops Charges Against Snellville Man
(WSB Radio) It took 7 weeks, but David Jansen can breathe easier now.
Prosecutors in Sevier County, Tennessee, have dropped charges against the Snellville man, who had been accused of rape and kidnapping.
A 24 year old Atlanta stripper had made the accusations against the 48 year old Jansen, who admitted to police he was having an affair with the woman, but vehemently denied committing any crime.
The accuser claimed Jansen, who she knew from her work at the strip club Tattletales, abducted her while she was running in the Morningside neighborhood, drove her to a cabin in Tennessee, tied her up and raped her.
A pizza delivery man who came to the cabin spotter her bound and asking for help. He then called police.
Jansen says the incident was consensual, that the woman actually planned the "romantic getaway," and that the woman was tied up because she was into bondage.
Friends of the accuser at the strip club confirmed that the alleged victim had a bondage fetish.
In addition, revelations came out that the woman had twice made similar accusations against other men in Georgia and was prosecuted for filing a false police report.
A British couple also came forward after Jansen was charged, saying they saw the woman sitting in Jansen's car outside of the cabin, by herself, and she made no effort to get away or ask for help.
Video surveillance tapes, made at various gas stations between Atlanta and Sevier County, also showed the woman sitting in Jansen's car, by herself, and making no attempt to escape or get help.
The woman's mother also came forward, saying her daughter needed help and was a "pathological liar."
Despite all this, prosecutors held fast to the charges against Jansen. Until today.
Prosecutors have no plans to charge the woman.
What others are saying
- IdiotsAnyone who thinks this guy is a creep is a moron, she consented, grow up and grow a set. This idiot woman is a pathological liar, who should get 5 years for each offense concerning a false report, and wasting tax payer's dollars; she does not need help, she needs serious jail time; until this is done all the idiots will keep doing such things. I think, I would be safe in call her a liberal idiot, conservatives are never this idiotic. In this cast the prosecutor should join her in jail, for being another idiotic fool
- It is outrageous that this liar isn't being charged with a felony! This man's life has been ruined and he will never have a good reputation again.
Enough is enough! We need zero tolerance for false rape accusations. - Sad day...No charges for the woman? This guy was looking at a long jail term, but she gets away with NOTHING. And this is her 3rd time with the false charges. WTF?
- well that's the only good thing he has going for him now. He's lost his wife and family over it. He's a creep, but the girl is the real criminal here.
They should file charges against her right away.
