Teachers Fight Over Love Letter
(WSB Radio) -- Two Clayton County teachers are facing charges after fighting in front of students this week.
It was a love letter posted on Facebook that sparked the confrontation between the teachers at Rex Middle School, according to police.
Investigators and school officials have not released much in the way of information. The names of the teachers involved have not been release, but the charges include disorderly conduct.
What others are saying
- I'm glad they were arrested. Schools are quick to have students arrested for fighting in school, so this should apply to the teachers as well. There definately needs some type of disiplinary action taken other than Leave with pay. No pay is more like it.
- What is up with "administrative leave WITH PAY". Do we now pay people for being irresponsible and reprehensible???? They shouldn't get another dime. FIRED. That means NO MORE PAY until you find another job, preferably not in a job where you are around young people who are supposed to be learning wrong from right.
- RiverdaleWhat happened to zero tolerance. Does that only apply to students. Shame on these grown women. They don't have the character that is needed to teach children since they don't seem to know wrong from right themselves. I say "zero tolerance" to them. They need terminated. .
- my schoolThat's my school to i actually saw the whole thing!!!!!!!!!!
- Ms.CobbI was one of Ms.Cobb's students and she is very unprofessional..what goes on at home..stays there...and that why i never liked her...on the other hand i love Ms.Smith she is the best home ec teacher EVER!
- not surprisingI used to work at that school. I left because it was obviously not a good place to stay if you want a positive long term career; there wasn't great leadership. This is totally not surprising. There was always some kind of madness going down when I worked there. Completely not surprised by the people involved either.
- teachers fight over love letterThat was too funny when I heard that! Seperates the career teachers and paycheck teachers. A teacher who was professional would not have done that in front of the kids.
- Teachers NamesRex Mill Middle School teachers Chaka Cobb and Ebony Smith should be fired immediately if they did this in front of students.
- OMG!!My Old Middle School & Teachers! And The Male Teacher Was My Old Basketball Coach . I Miss RMMS .
- studenti go to rex mill middle school its MS cobb and Ms smith
- more infoWho wrote the love letter is what I'm interested in. Heaven forbid it was a student. It would be humorous but sick at the same time.
- Love Letter! We need the contents of the letter released!
- Teachers Fight In Front of StudentsWe need those names released!
