Cop Grabs Smash & Grab Thieves
(WSB Radio) Two more smash and grab robberies in Atlanta, but this time the cops grabbed the bad guys.
The thieves hit two Foot Locker stores just before dawn; the location on Campbellton Road and another on Metropolitan Parkway.
After making off with the stolen goods, the robbers were spotted at a Mechanicsville apartment complex by an Atlanta police officer unloading boxes from a minivan. When the cop went to investigate, the thieves took off running.
The officer gave chase, catching up to one of the suspects. During that chase, the officer suffered a minor injury to his leg.
Police say a total of four suspects are in custody and the stolen merchandise has all been recovered.
Investigators are not saying if the robbers are members of the 30 Deep gang. But they do say the gang does operate in the Mechanicsville area.
30 Deep has been linked to other smash and grab break-ins in the metro area in the past few months.

- Bring back the labor campsIt does absolutely no good to place these suspects into jail where they can be schooled on what mistakes they made in their last caper. Also they are given access to running water, a cot and tv.
Make them do time in hard labor! Picking up trash in our neighborhoods from sun-up to sun down wearing bright colored outfits with no belts so they have to use one hand to hold the trousers up!

Maybe the new Mayor will sweep the entire city and make an example out of the ones they do catch. Oh thats right they'll be out on bond in an hour anyway. What was I thinking?
