Wal-Mart Parking Lot Meth Bust
(WSB Radio) -- A concerned Wal-Mart customer in Conyers leads to two arrests by police. A customer noticed a lot of movement going on inside an SUV in the parking lot. Fearing it could be a violent argument, he called 9-1-1. Conyers Police Captain Scott Freeman tells WSB an officer caught up with the vehicle on Old Covington Highway, noticed that the two inside may be under the influence and called for a drug dog.
"The dog that he had alerted on the vehicle for drugs. A subsequent search of that vehicle revealed several different containers which the officers recognized - it was a rolling meth lab. They were actually in the process of making some meth at the time of the stop," said Freeman.
The man and woman, both with outstanding warrants, one for vehicle theft, the other for a probation violation, were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
