ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (AP) A shrimp boat apparently snagged the wreckage of a small plane that crashed last month in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of north Florida, killing three people from Rome.

Saint Johns County sheriff's Sergeant Chuck Mulligan says the agency believes the plane that the boat's crew snagged is the wreckage of the Cessna 195 that crashed December 18th.

Pilot Gary Tillman, his 16-year-old daughter, Hanna, and Hanna's friend Anna Kipp, who was sixteen, were killed. Passenger Rachel Hostetler, 16, escaped the plane and was rescued.

Mulligan said two bodies were recovered today. One of the bodies is believed to be Hanna Tillman, while the other is thought to be her father.

Kipp died at a hospital after the crash.

The plane was in about fifty feet of water.

In the days after the crash, rain, gale force winds and 7 to 10 foot seas hampered the search for the plane one mile off Vilano Beach near Saint Augustine.

Gary Tillman sent a distress call reporting the plane was losing altitude and the control tower lost contact with the aircraft a short time later.
