Campbell Jury Profiles:
- Juror #6: A white female, 25. She moved to Atlanta in 2004, after Campbell's administration. She says she thinks politicians "have an ethical obligation and they need to be held up to that."
- Juror #7: A black male, 70. He is retired but does landscaping for a single client for whom he's worked since 1965. Has a relative who did a short stint behind bars for embezzling money from her employer, a used car dealer. He says he "doesn't take much interest in politics" and remembers Ronnie Thornton, an expected government witness in the case, from when Thornton was a child and Thornton's father was his supervisor on a job.
- Juror #9: A black female, 37. Worked for the City of Atlanta from 2001-2003 in its finance department and then its traffic court. She says she never met Mayor Campbell. She listens to a popular hip hop radio station in Atlanta, as well as V-103, the station on which Campbell has been a frequent guest.
- Juror #15: A black male, 38. He designs large computer systems for BellSouth; also owns his own business, as does his wife. He was one of several jurors who said he thinks minorities are treated differently by law enforcement, and cited an instance involving a traffic stop involving his brother and white policemen.
- Juror #21: A black female, 41. She previously owned a business related to home decor.
- Juror #33: A black male, 49.
- Juror #37: A white male, 56. He is retired from the food manufacturing industry. He listens to Clark Howard on News/Talk 750 WSB but doesn't remember hearing Howard talk about the Campbell case. He says he "doesn't care for" Neal Boortz and Sean Hannity's shows. He thinks politicians should be held to higher ethical and moral standards.
- Juror #40: A white male, 63. He says he has feelings about the IRS which are "not good" but hopes his feelings would not prejudice him against an IRS agent's testimony in this case; after all, he says, one of his close friends works with the IRS. This is the juror who said he heard Boortz "ranting and raving" about the former Mayor: "He was all the time complaining that Mr. Campbell wouldn't come on his show."
- Juror #43: A white male, 49. He says he sometimes listens to News/Talk 750 WSB.
- Juror #49: A white female, 46. She says she has had her own brush with the law, and that a family member was charged in a felony case several years ago. She expressed some opinions about the testimony of people who strike immunity or plea deals.
- Juror #51: A black male, 41. He says his own experience with law enforcement and the court system was "unfortunate, but fair." He agrees that minorities are treated differently by law enforcement, but that he wouldn't hold the government to a higher standard in this case simply because Campbell is a black defendant.
- Juror #54: A black female, 31. She filed suit against General Motors under the Lemon Law, and says she was "satisfied" with the result; the two sides settled out of court.
