(WSB Radio) -- Grady Hospital could be out of the financial woods sooner than expected.

WSB's Charley O'Brian reports the Grady Task Force is announcing names of prominent people to serve on the board set to run Grady as a nonprofit.

Pete Correll Updates WSB on Grady

Task Force Chairman Pete Correll tells WSB News, "We've raised $200 million with a commitment to raise another $100 million. We've secured state funding and we've recruited a blue ribbon board."

Correll is the retired head of Georgia Pacific.

The 11 members announced Saturday would serve on the new nonprofit's board.

They include Dr. Louis Sullivan, Dr. Beverly Hall, Michael Russell, Bill Clement, Joe Rogers-CEO of Waffle House, Tom Bell-CEO of Cousins Properties.

Correll tells WSB they want speedy approval from Fulton and Dekalb counties. That means the new board could be running Grady next month, even before the IRS okays it's nonprofit status.
