(WSB Radio State Capitol Bureau) -- The Georgia House decided on Monday to table a bill to allow parents to monitor the driving performance of their teens.
Under House Bill 1069 parents could register their young drivers with a monitoring service and use GPS to track their teens speed and location.
A placard could also be places on the vehicle with a toll free number that other drivers could call with a report on the driver's performance.
Courts could use such monitoring as a tool for offenders under age 18 who commit certain crimes including DUI, hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, or fleeing an officer.
