(WSB Radio) -- Georgia football coach Mark Richt will join other high profile college coaches on a tour later this year of U.S. military bases in the Middle East.

Richt's traveling party will include Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville and Notre Dame's Charlie Weis. The group will visit a number of undisclosed American military installations from May 20th through May 26th.

Richt tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution "it's for our soldiers, and I said I'm going, and I don't even know exactly where I'm going."

Richt says "I hope to let the troops know how much we love and care about them, and that the people back home are praying for them."

As part of the week-long goodwill tour, Richt and the other coaches will help coach flag football teams made up of male and female military personnel.
