(WSB Radio) A Fulton County man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for raping and getting his daughter pregnant.
The sentence on Monday came after 46-year-old Earl Anderson pleaded guilty to rape and incest.
Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard tells WSB Anderson told his daughter there was nothing wrong with what he was doing and began raping herl when she was 11.
When she was 15, he got her pregnant. She gave birth in January of last year.
"This is, in our view, a very egregious case," said Howard.
The victim, now 17, and the baby, are in protective custody.
"While justice has surely been done, these victims -generations of a family- may never truly heal from what this man did," said Howard.
