Delta, Northwest Still Talking
(WSB Radio) -- The Wall Street Journal reports that Northwest Airlines executives have proposed that Delta Air Lines and Northwest proceed with their planned merger and that pilot inducements would not be a part of the deal.

  • WSB's Kerry Browning reports

It's a course that the airlines can proceed with even though it may not be popular with the pilots. Sources tell the paper that Delta is still pondering the idea.

The AJC has confirmed that Delta CEO Richard Anderson and President Ed Bastian have changed their weekend travel plans indicating that something big may be in the works.

Bastian planned to be on the inaugural Atlanta to Shangahi flight Sunday and Anderson was scheduled to fly on the airline's first flight to London's Heathrow.
