No Arrest For Clayton County Educators
(WSB Radio) Two top educators in Clayton County have been cleared on allegations of child abuse.

Magistrate Richard Brown ruled there was not enough probable cause to move forward with a case against Anne Adams, principal at Mundy's Mill High School, and assistant Superintendent Derrick Manning.

An arrest warrant was sought by Detective Joanne Southerland, who testified at the hearing that both Adams and Manning were aware that a female student, age 15, was videotaped having sex with two other teenage students at a Jonesboro home.

Southerland told the judge the two boys said the video had been seen by "everyone" at the school.

The two male students were charged with child molestation, statutory rape, solicitation for sodomy, distribution of child pornography and with being in a gang.

School officials contacted the girl's parents, who demanded that Adams take some action. But the principal refused, telling the parents that the boys claimed the sex was consensual.

The girl's parents dispute that claim. They now have the option of asking the Clayton County district attorney's office to bring the charges before a grand jury.
