(WSB Radio) -- Questionable pictures of University of Georgia quarterback Matthew Stafford have surfaced on the Internet and are raising some eyebrows across the Bulldog Nation.

In the photos, the 19-year-old freshman is seen hoisting a beer keg over his head and squatting over the keg while purportedly at the NASCAR race in Talladega, Alabama last weekend.

Because of the ability to alter photographs that appear online, school spokesman Tom Jackson says "the evidence is not enough to warrant accusations that Stafford violated UGA's alcohol policy."

Georgia athletics officials, including coach Mark Richt, are aware of the pictures. In fact, Richt plans to meet with his starting signal caller when he returns from a trip to Jacksonville, Florida where he and other coaches spoke to the local Bulldog Club.

Stafford's possible association with alcohol comes just a week after redshirt freshman linebacker Akeem Hebron was arrested for underage drinking. Hebron was also charged with a similar violation six months ago.

Georgia's football team begins fall drills on August 18th. The Bulldogs open the season September 1st in Athens against Oklahoma State.
