Fuel Prices Close Delta Crown Rooms
(WSB Radio) High jet fuel costs are impacting the way you fly. Now, they're also affecting how you wait before you fly.

Delta Air Lines has announced it's closing 9 of its Crown Room Clubs, the private waiting areas for paying members.

The airline cited a need to cut costs in view of sharply higher fuel bills. The Crown Rooms will be shutting down at the end of this month.

Delta will continue to operate 38 Crown Rooms at other airports worldwide, and members will also continue to have access to some partner airlines' rooms.

Crown Room memberships cost between 300 and 400 dollars per year.

The Crown Rooms closing include:

  • Cincinnati

  • Boston

  • Kansas City

  • Seattle

  • San Juan

  • Phoenix

  • Denver

  • Honolulu

  • Gatwick Airport, London
