(WSB Radio) -- Police have arrested the grandson of a man found murdered early Saturday morning.

Police say that 67-year-old Jack Uselton, Sr. of Fayetteville had gone to check on his grandson, 24-year-old Herbert Georgia Ledford III.

Ledford apparently suffered from some sort of medical condition. Firefighters responded to the scene on a report of smoke coming from the home at 11991 Panhandle Road in Hampton.

When firefighters entered the home, they extinguished a small fire in the master bedroom. Uselton was found lying down in a bathtub. He had been shot twice, once in the head.

Captain Greg Dickens with Clayton County Police tells WSB Radio, "The suspect arrived back at the incident location. Clayton County officers were standing by. He was taken into custody without incident."

Family members say Ledford is mentally unstable.
