Teacher Arrested for Contact With Student on wsbradio.com

(WSB Radio) -- A teacher at Hiram High School has been charged with sexual assault involving a student. The Paulding County Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children Unit received allegations involving inappropriate contact between a 17-year-old female student and 37-year-old Darrel Johnson of Dallas, Ga.

WSB's Jennifer Griffies reports

Prior to the arrest, Mr. Johnson had resigned from the Paulding County School System citing unrelated issues.

Sgt. Brent Miller with the Paulding County Sheriff's Office said, "“We ask any other students or persons that may have had inappropriate contact with Mr. Johnson to please contact the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children Unit.”

I went to the school and had him in my freshman year as a student teacher and then again my sophomore year as my us history teacher. But he didn't act like that towards us. I seen him recently and he seemed to be doing well for himself. I blame it on the student. She shouldn't try to do it with a teacher!!!

I went to the school and had him for a year.this man literally would make all us female students feel awkward and he was very frightening. But dont feel bad for the female student.[SHE ASKED FOR IT!]dont flaunt it to creepy older men.

This is some true mess!!!! I went to the school and ain't even know!!!!!! he threw up and that's all i heard that day. but hey he was lonely and was not getting any from his wife i guess!! how funny!!!!
