(WSB Radio) -- A 14-year-old Cobb County boy is dead, killed by a drunk driver who smashed into the family's Powder Springs home overnight.

WSB's Richard Sangster reports that the boy's 13-year-old sister was hurt. Both children were asleep in their beds when the car crashed into the home which is located off Old Lost Mountain Road in West Cobb.

WSB's Richard Sangster reports

Crews from the Cobb County Fire Department took more than two hours to free the kids from the wreckage. The house and truck had to be shored up.

The girl was released from South Cobb Hospital Sunday morning.

Police say the woman, who is 44 years old, was fighting with her husband and was drunk. She's facing a list of serious charges.

According to Cobb County Police:

A 44 year old female had just been involved in an argument with her husband at a home in Powder Springs, Georgia. The Powder Springs Police Department was dispatched to the domestic dispute but prior to their arrival the female fled in a maroon 2007 Ford -250 truck. While westbound on Macedonia Road investigators believe she disregarded the stop sign at Old Lost Mountain Road and entered a subdivision on Legend Hollow Lane. As the truck continued westbound on Legend Hollow Lane, it went through a number of yards striking mailboxes, cable boxes, bushes and curbs. At some point, the truck left the roadway while westbound and into the east end of a ranch home. The truck traveled through the garage, through the front sidewalk foyer area (leading up to the front of the house) and reentered the home through a front bedroom. In that bedroom was a 14 year old male asleep in his bed. The truck pushed the contents of the room through the wall leading into the adjacent bedroom. In that bedroom was a 13 year old female asleep in her bed. The truck finally stopped before exiting the west end of the home.

When personnel from the Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services arrived on the scene, they worked tirelessly for approximately two hours stabilizing the truck so that they could remove the 13 year old female who had been pinned between the front bumper of the truck and the interior wall of the home. After being removed from the debris, the 13 year old was transported to Wellstar South Cobb Hospital and treated for leg injuries. She has since been released back into the care of her family. Her brother identified as 14 year old Elliot Savary died at the scene of the crime. The suspect identified as 44 year old Janette L. Eason of Dallas, Georgia did not require medical treatment and has since been booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention.
