There were no injuries when lightning struck a home on Green Street in Canton. The owners were out of town and the structure was heavily damaged.

Minor damage was also reported in Carroll and Clayton counties. Almost 4,000 Georgia Power customers lost service Sunday night. The lights were back on by Midnight.
