(WSB Radio) -- A two-day search of some property on Michael Road near Monroe in Walton County has netted a couple of finds.
GBI Agent Jim Fullington tells WSB that they searched the property after receiving a tip involving four murders that took place at Moore's Ford Bridge in July of 1946.
According to authorities, up to 15 white men kidnapped George and Mae Dorsey and Roger and Dorothy Malcom, took them to the bridge, shot them numerous times, and then hanged them. No one has ever been arrested.
An artillery shell that dates to the 1800s found was found on the property. Authorities say the shell had nothing to the with the investigation.
