(WSB Radio) -- There's been a quick arrest in the shooting of a fast food manager and a Clayton County cop.

Clayton County Police had been looking for the suspect since the shooting early Thursday morning. Captain Greg Dickens tells WSB's Pete Combs, "The father of 21-year old Marquet Donald delivered him to police headquarters this morning after learning police were searching for him."

Dickens says Donald used to work at the Krystals near Stockbridge but was fired a week ago.

Donald walked into the restaurant and shot the manager in the head, Dickens says. Cheryl Alphabet, 49, is in critical condition at Atlanta Medical Center.

Clayton County Officer Mathew Whitton, shot in the arm as he chased the suspect, is now out of surgery.

Police say they recovered a 9-millimeter pistol from Donald, the weapon they think was used in both shootings.
